The Constance Lake Education Authority Mission Statement speaks to our very strong commitment to and belief in our children:
The education of our children is our most cherished responsibility; we want to renew and revitalize the dignity of and harmony among our people. We feel this will provide guidance in strengthening the relationships between elders and our youth. It is through education that we as First Nations people will rise once again to self sufficiency, both individually and collectively. It is also through education that our children will be provided with a strong sense of positive identity as First Nations people."
At Constance Lake First Nation, we are also dedicated to providing opportunities for adults to continue on their journey of learning.
The Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Center is a locally-owned school that opened its doors to the community in 2004. In addition to hosting classes for students from junior kindergarten to grade 12, the school offers child care services through the Little Lambs Daycare. Close to 200 students are currently enrolled an additional 57 in daycare.
How to access our program:
Parents/guardians who wish to register their child for Daycare must call or come to meet with the Daycare Administrator. Parents should bring the Status Card and the Birth Certificate and a copy of all the needles that their child has received from the Health Clinic.
To register their child in school, the parents/guardians must accompany their child to school in order to meet with Principal. For students entering junior Kindergarten, the parents/guardians should bring the Status Card and the Birth Certificate of the child registering. For a student transferring
